Organisation Overview: SNSA provides comprehensive support to stroke survivors and caregivers throughout their recovery journeys. We offer a wide range of projects and activities designed for post-stroke adjustment, including fitness sessions, social gatherings, arts & crafts, and learning journeys.
We partner with both public and private organizations to provide essential services like counseling and support group sessions. Our goal is to empower stroke survivors and caregivers to thrive.
Brief Description: This is a full-time hybrid role for an Intern at SNSA. The intern will work closely with our Partnerships and Communications Team with a focus on managing media, partnerships, events and outreach campaigns. The intern's involvement is vital in our efforts to better support and empower individuals affected by stroke and their families.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the uploading and maintenance of approved digital content of the social media calendar, including editing reels and capturing photos for content
2. Conduct basic proofreading and copywriting for communication materials across various channels, with a particular focus on digital platforms
3. Draft and publish 2-3 monthly newsletters
4. Conduct media monitoring and compile relevant coverage or trends
5. Update and maintain website content as required
6. Support planning and execution of outreach events and collaborate with external agencies or partners when necessary
7. Coordination of assets, informing and sharing across to agencies and relevant internal teams
8. Perform any other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor
9. Support ad-hoc projects, administrative matters, fundraising and outreach events
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
1. To gain hands-on experience in social media and digital content creation
2. To contribute to meaningful storytelling and advocacy
3. To gain exposure to media outreach, campaign planning and event support
4. To build valuable work experience in the healthcare, or the nonprofit sector
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
