Organisation Overview: Stroke Support Station (S3) supports stroke survivors and their caregivers every step of the way, offering rehabilitation, community programmes, and a safe space to rebuild confidence and independence after stroke.
Brief Description: Are you interested in the community sector? Do you want to make a real impact while gaining hands-on experience in partnerships and volunteer management? At Stroke Support Station (S3), we’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven intern to join our team, helping us expand our network and enhance our community outreach.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Community Partnerships
Support relationship management with community, corporate, and institutional partners aligned with S3’s mission.
Conduct research on partnership, sponsorship, and collaboration opportunities.
Assist with the preparation of partnership materials, correspondence, and follow-up communications.
Volunteer Management
Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention efforts.
Assist in maintaining volunteer records and tracking participation.
Help coordinate volunteer communications and related administrative processes.
Event Coordination
Assist in the planning and execution of key events, launches, and engagement activities.
Support event logistics, coordination, and operational preparation.
Provide on-site support where required.
Data Tracking and Reporting
Assist in tracking and documenting partnership and volunteer outcomes.
Support the preparation of reports, summaries, and presentation materials.
Help maintain organised records of outreach, engagement, and programme impact.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong interest in community engagement, partnerships, or volunteer management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to community partnership development, including research and stakeholder engagement
To be able to support volunteer recruitment, onboarding and engagement initiatives
To apply coordination and organisational skills in event planning and execution
To participate in managing communications with partners and volunteers, including follow-ups and engagement efforts
To learn how to track data and prepare reports to measure partnership, volunteer and programme outcomes
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Thu, 8.30am-6pm / Fri, 8.30am-5.30pm
