Organisation Overview: Kita is a non-profit organisation that journeys with under-resourced youths through participatory and person-centred practices.
Brief Description: Support Kita's Marketing and Communications team in shaping how we engage youths, partners, and funders across all channels. Working alongside the Communications and Marketing Manager, you will contribute to content creation, campaign design, social media, publications, and website management, helping amplify youth voices and organisational impact through thoughtful storytelling and strategic communications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Create digital and print content including social media graphics, newsletters, event collaterals, and presentation materials, while maintaining brand consistency across all outputs
Support social media planning, posting, and community engagement across platforms, including creating short-form content such as reels, motion posts, and stories
Assist in drafting and editing written communications such as blog posts, case studies, email campaigns, and funder updates that centre youth experiences and achievements
Track and analyse content performance (reach, engagement, views) and contribute to monthly reports with data-informed recommendations for improvement
Support the maintenance and updating of website content, visuals, and the organisation's content bank (photos, videos, templates)
Contribute to the design and production of publications, including the annual report and programme-related materials
Assist in the development and rollout of campaigns and events such as fundraisers, showcases, and community activities
Coordinate with the programmes team to capture stories, gather assets, and ensure communications accurately reflect Kita's participatory approach and youth-centred mission
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to non-profit communications strategy across multiple audiences, including youths, funders, government agencies, and community partners
To be able to plan and produce content across diverse channels including social media, web, email, and print publications
To apply social media analytics and data interpretation skills to improve campaign effectiveness and audience engagement
To participate in the end-to-end development of organisational publications and marketing campaigns
To learn how to craft compelling narratives that centre youth agency and community impact within a values-driven organisation
To gain knowledge in brand management, content workflows, and cross-functional coordination within an early-stage non-profit
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am to 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
