Brief Description: We are looking for a creative and socially attuned Marketing & Communications Intern to craft engaging, creative and thought-provoking content for youth audiences on Malay/Muslim issues in Singapore and beyond. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about emotive storytelling, is a good visual storyteller, and wants to shape conversations through impactful social media content.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Content Creation
Design visually compelling social media content (primarily Instagram posts and carousels) aligned with brand identity
Write clear, engaging, and thought-provoking copy tailored to youth audiences
Conceptualise and produce content that reflects themes of self-growth, community, and global awareness
Video Production
Plan, shoot, and edit short-form video content
Experiment with creative formats, trends, and storytelling techniques to increase engagement
Shoot and edit event coverage videos
Content Strategy & Campaigns
Support the development and execution of social media campaigns
Brainstorm and pitch content ideas that align with ongoing projects and events
Maintain a content calendar and ensure timely posting
Community Engagement
Monitor comments, messages, and interactions across platforms
Engage with the audience in a thoughtful and brand-aligned manner
Identify trends, conversations, and opportunities relevant to youth in Singapore and ASEAN
Brand & Communications Support
Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and visual identity across all content
Assist in crafting messaging for campaigns, events, and partnerships
Support other communications needs as required
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be able to develop creative and human-centric storytelling and communication skills
To learn how to simplify social issues into accessible language and formats
To be able to build a portfolio of impactful, purpose-driven work
To be exposed to community-building and youth engagement initiatives
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon- Fri, 10.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Flexible - weekend work may be required depending on operational needs
