Organisation Overview: Established in 1992, Club Rainbow (Singapore) (CRS) is a non-profit organisation and charity with the mission to support and empower children with chronic illnesses and their families. Armed with the firm belief that every child deserves equal opportunities to lead a fulfilling and independent life, CRS supports our children and their families in more than 30 critical programmes, services and assistance schemes.
Brief Description: The intern will be working closely with our Marketing and Business Development teams in marketing outreach and merchandise sales. The work will amplify awareness of Club Rainbow’s mission, strengthen our fundraising efforts, and empower our children and families to become active contributors to society through the sale of our merchandise.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Marketing (70%)
Support Creative Marketing & Awareness Initiatives Across Content Marketing Channels (Online and Offline)
Contribute to brainstorming and developing the monthly social media content calendar, including creative campaigns and awareness initiatives
Create, edit, and schedule content for social media posts, reels, and newsletters using tools such as Canva, CapCut, Hootsuite, and Mailchimp
Design corporate collaterals and publicity materials
Assist in Capturing Photo and Video Assets
Photograph and/or film staff events, signature events, new merchandise, and other content required for social media and marketing usage
Conduct Research and Maintain Stakeholder Databases
Research, update, and maintain Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and media contact lists on a regular basis
Business Development (25%)
Process and Fulfil Merchandise Sales (Individual and Corporate Orders)
Manage end-to-end order fulfilment for both individual and corporate orders, including packing merchandise, coordinating delivery or self-collection, and sending order confirmations through the e-commerce system
Assist walk-in customers by providing basic product information
Support Merchandise Booth Operations
Prepare and pack materials for on-site activation events, including stocks, props, price lists
Support booth setup and tear down
Engage patrons and support in-person sales during events
Assist with Other Administrative Needs
Create and update listings on e-commerce platforms
Updating of sales and inventory documents, ensuring accuracy and timely updates
Participate in and facilitate merchandise stock takes
Others (5%)
Assist with other administrative activities and events support within the Enterprise & Community Engagement department as required
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Creative Marketing & Content Development: Learn to plan content calendars, conceptualise marketing campaigns, and create visual materials using tools such as Canva, CapCut, Hootsuite, and Mailchimp
Multimedia & Event Support Skills: Gain hands-on experience capturing photos/videos and supporting the execution of events
Business Development & Sales Operations: Understand the end-to-end process of merchandise sales — including order processing, packing, delivery coordination, and on-site booth operations
Stakeholder, Communication & Collaboration Skills: Develop professional communication, coordination, and basic negotiation skills when working with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners
Real-World Workplace & Technical Experience: Gain practical exposure to workplace operations, cross-team collaboration, CRM/e-commerce systems, and accurate maintenance of sales, stock, and marketing data
Duration of Internship: 5 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 5.00pm
