Organisation Overview: Established in 1992, Club Rainbow (Singapore) (CRS) is a non-profit organisation and charity with the mission to support and empower children with chronic illnesses and their families. Armed with the firm belief that every child deserves equal opportunities to lead a fulfilling and independent life, CRS supports our children and their families in more than 30 critical programmes, services and assistance schemes.
Brief Description: As part of our Community Engagement team, the intern will be involved in managing events and campaigns that drive awareness and outreach. The role will contribute directly to supporting and empowering children with chronic illnesses and their families.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Community Integration Responsibilities
Assist the staff-in-charge in the planning, coordination, and execution of CRS’ annual signature events, as well as VIA (Values in Action) and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives for beneficiaries and their families
Support the coordination and delivery of programmes with corporate, institutional, and community partners, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and seamless execution
Engage and coordinate volunteers to ensure smooth programme operations and meaningful interactions with beneficiaries
Liaise with beneficiaries’ families on programme participation and provide on-site operational support to ensure a safe and positive experience
Contribute proactively to additional projects and responsibilities within the team, as assigned by the supervisor
Other Operational Support (Ad-hoc)
Process and Fulfil Merchandise Sales (Individual and Corporate Orders)
Manage end-to-end order fulfilment for both individual and corporate orders, including packing merchandise, coordinating delivery or self-collection, and sending order confirmations through the e-commerce system
Assist walk-in customers by providing basic product information
Support Merchandise Booth Operations
Prepare and pack materials for on-site activation events, including stocks, props, price lists
Support booth setup and tear down
Engage patrons and support in-person sales during events
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of community programmes and large-scale events
Build competencies in stakeholder engagement by working with corporate, institutional, and community partners
Gain hands-on experience in volunteer management to ensure smooth operations and meaningful beneficiary engagement
Strengthen communication and interpersonal skills through direct interaction with beneficiaries and their families
Contribute to impactful outreach and community initiatives, gaining exposure to diverse programmes within a social service environment
Duration of Internship: 5 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 5.00pm
