Organisation Overview: Singapore Children’s Society protects and nurtures children and youth of all races and religions. In 2025, the Society reached out to 22,333 children, youth and families in need. Established in 1952, its services have evolved to meet the changing needs of children.
Today, Children’s Society operates more than 10 service centres islandwide, offering services in the four categories of: Vulnerable Children and Youth, Children and Youth Services, Family Services, and Research and Advocacy.
Brief Description: We are seeking an intern to support our Graphic Design and Social Media initiatives. This role involves developing and adapting visual content for digital platforms, creating engaging short‑form social media videos and supporting our online presence and campaigns. The intern will assist with basic photography and video coverage when needed and gain hands‑on experience. A good eye for design, familiarity with common design and video tools, and a willingness to learn are key.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Graphic Design
Responsible for the conceptualisation and development of key visuals.
Adapt visuals for various digital platforms.
Understand and adhere to the organisation's corporate branding guidelines.
Social Media
Produce relatable short-form video content to increase audience engagement and reach.
Assist to monitor brand’s digital presence on social media and website.
Support the tracking of the impact and progress of email and social media campaign performance.
Support the team with event photography and video coverage as needed.
Assist with any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to real‑world graphic design and social media workflows within an organisation.
To be able to conceptualise and develop basic visual and video content for digital platforms.
To apply design principles and branding guidelines in creating consistent marketing materials.
To participate in the planning, execution, and review of social media and digital campaigns.
To learn how to collaborate effectively with team members, manage feedback, and meet project timelines.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 5.30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
Requirements (if any):
Technical Proficiencies
Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
Skills in video editing using Premiere Pro, After Effects and CapCut are preferred.
Ability to illustrate and develop concepts by hand and/or software.
Undergraduates with a diploma in Graphic Design/Visual Communication are preferred.
Individual Skills
Possess a keen eye for detail to ensure final visuals are error-free.
Capable of prioritising and managing multiple campaigns while adhering to project timelines.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders, incorporating changes into revised designs as suggested.
Exhibit a growth mindset and a willingness to learn.
