Organisation Overview: SCOGA was founded by a group of enthusiastic gamers and leaders who wanted to make a difference in the local gaming scene, especially by promoting Cybersports, also known as Esports.
Today, its initiatives include esports, cyber wellness, adult learning and active ageing programmes.
It has worked with various government bodies, industry players, media, schools, gamers, parents and other non-profit organisations to create positive change and impact in Singapore.
Brief Description: Join SCOGA as an Events Management Intern and gain hands-on experience producing esports and gaming events from the ground up. The intern will support planning, coordination, and on-ground execution across youth and community programmes, including Campus Legends and Campus Game Fest. This role is ideal for someone organised, proactive, and eager to learn the craft of live event production in a dynamic social enterprise setting.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in the end-to-end planning and coordination of esports events, including venue logistics, run-of-show preparation, and vendor liaison
Support the development of event documentation such as operational timelines, briefing sheets, equipment checklists, and post-event reports
Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, schools, and community organisations to ensure smooth event delivery
Assist in the setup, teardown, and on-ground management of events, including equipment configuration and participant registration
Help manage volunteer and crew deployment during events, ensuring all team members are briefed and stationed correctly
Support sponsor and partner fulfilment during events, including branding placement, booth setup, and host liaison
Monitor event flow on the ground and flag issues in real time to the lead coordinator for prompt resolution
Compile post-event feedback, attendance data, and key observations to support evaluation and reporting
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to the full event production cycle, from initial concept and planning through to on-ground execution and post-event review
To be able to develop and manage event documentation, including timelines, logistics plans, and briefing materials used by production teams
To apply project coordination and stakeholder communication skills in a live events environment involving schools, sponsors, and community partners
To participate in the production of large-scale and community esports events, gaining direct experience managing crowds, schedules, and on-ground variables
To learn how to problem-solve under pressure and make real-time decisions during live event operations
To gain knowledge in volunteer management, sponsor servicing, and the operational standards required to deliver professional esports and gaming events
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
