Organisation Overview: Established in 2016, Digital Dream is a social enterprise that provides creative digital solutions for schools, institutions, elderly homes, youth groups, commercial spaces and offices.

Brief Description: This position assists the project engineer with engineering support for the Immersive Interactive Cave including certain aspects or the full game design including electrical, electronics engineering, audio sound track, video inputs, scripting and programming content for special needs, education, elderly care activities, youth programmes, and specific events. The intern will identify and articulate objectives, design story board and process flow, present ideas, script and test the outcome.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Project Engineer in product development for Special Needs, Education, Elderly activities and Youth programmes

  2. Present project brief, process flows and project outcomes

  3. To design, code, gameplay mechanics scripting, program software and applications

  4. To be involved in user interface programming and providing technical support for projects

  5. Test prototypes and contents developed

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To be exposed to opportunities to design and code and deliver products and contents for Immersive Interactive Mixed Reality activities

  2. To learn a new skill in digitalising contents in an Immersive Interactive Mixed Reality space

  3. To apply and expand on programming and engineering skills

  4. To collaborate with colleagues and clients

  5. Assist in project management during events

  6. To be exposed to Unity, Unreal Engine, 3DSMAX, Story scripting and UI UX

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm

Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
