Brief Description:
This position will:
Bring fresh perspectives from a younger workforce
Encourage exchange of academic insights relevant to team initiatives
Assist with ongoing projects and day-to-day operational tasks
Support the implementation of the Donor Advocacy Programme
Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in the coordination of pre-donation requirements, including but not limited to collecting, packing and arranging of courier for blood kits
Assist with donor’s workup appointment, hospital admission, discharge and post-donation follow-ups
Work with the Search and Transplantation Team, international stem cell registries, collection centres, laboratories, couriers, and government agencies to facilitate stem cell collection and transport
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of the donor stem cell collection process
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards, including those set by World Marrow Donor Association and PDPC
Support ad hoc initiatives/projects, as assigned by the Donor Management Manager
Uphold and demonstrate BMDP’s core values and competencies
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) and regulatory standards set by WMDA
To learn how to coordinate logistics for the donation journey
To participate in collaborative work with various stakeholders such as the Search and Transplantation Team to facilitate stem cell collection and transport
To learn how to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
