Brief Description: The Data & Research - cum Event Management Intern will support Mendaki Club's Secretariat and Data Teams in planning and executing events, while managing and analysing event-related data. Regular weekday hours are expected, though occasional evening and weekend work may be required for executive committee meetings and programmes. Any additional hours worked beyond the stipulated schedule will be compensated through time-off in lieu.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Design and manage feedback forms and post-event surveys
2. Collect, clean and organise event and participant data
3. Analyse survey responses and feedback to generate actionable insights
4. Prepare summary reports and visual dashboards for review
5. Support in logistics planning, event registration and on-site coordination for MENDAKI Club’s programmes
6. Coordinate with Programmes Team to ensure smooth event operations
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
1. Experience in event logistics, coordination & stakeholder management
2. Practical skills in feedback design, data analysis & performance reporting
3. Exposure to both creative & analytical aspects of event management
4. Gain insight into how a Secretariat Team supports and enables volunteer-led programmes and initiatives serving the Malay/Muslim community
5. Deepen awareness of contemporary issues within the Malay/Muslim community and how programme interventions contribute to positive change
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon - Thu, 8.30am - 6.00pm, Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
