Organisation Overview: Established in 2016, Digital Dream is a social enterprise that provides creative digital solutions for schools, institutions, elderly homes, youth groups, commercial spaces and offices.

Brief Description: Gain experience in marketing and communications. This role focuses on documenting, creating, and publishing content, as well as managing SalvageGarden’s social media. You will also support programmes, workshops, and events with volunteers, the public, social service organisations, and schools. Through this role, you will develop skills in content creation and communications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Document programmes, workshops, and events through photography, videography, and interviews with participants and volunteers

  2. Plan and create content, including social media posts, articles, and videos, to promote SalvageGarden’s programmes and events

  3. Assist in managing social media channels by drafting captions, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to messages or comments

  4. Support the development of social media and communications strategies to support fundraising and volunteer recruitment

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To be exposed to marketing and communications in a volunteer-driven organisation

  2. To gain knowledge of assistive technology and inclusive design

  3. To be able to apply core workplace skills, including independent learning, time management, curiosity, adaptability, and communication

  4. To develop confidence in the workplace

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: Sun-Thu, 9.00am - 6.00pm

Will this internship require weekend work?: Regular weekend work as part of normal schedule
