Organisation Overview: We support children and youth through research-based Social Work and Educational Psychology programmes.
Through targeted interventions, we empower at-risk children and youth, fostering essential life skills, nurturing connections, and promoting personal growth.
Brief Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Communications & Partnership Intern to support SHINE's outreach, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement efforts. This is a meaningful opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit communications while contributing to a cause that transforms the lives of vulnerable children and youth in Singapore.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Communications
Assist in creating content for SHINE's online giving platforms (Give.asia, giving.sg), including copywriting, graphics coordination, and scheduling
Support the drafting of newsletters, donor updates, and other external communications materials
Support documentation of SHINE's programmes and impact through interviews, photography support, and storytelling
Partnerships & Fundraising Support
Assist in researching and identifying potential corporate partners, donors, and grant opportunities
Assist in planning and executing fundraising events and partner engagement initiatives
Help prepare partnership decks, one-pagers, and sponsorship packages
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Gain experience in communications and partnership management
Develop project management skills through supporting the planning and implementation of volunteer initiatives
Learn about community needs and how to identify potential solutions through volunteerism
Develop stakeholder engagement, leadership and communication skills
Gain exposure to the social service sector and volunteer development in Singapore
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Will this internship require weekend work?: Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
