Organisation Overview: MEMBINA Community is a youth-led non-profit charity organisation dedicated to empowering at-risk and under-resourced youth in Singapore. Through mentoring, leadership development, and community programmes, we create safe spaces for youth to grow, connect, and lead purposeful lives.

Brief Description: This role supports the Programmes team in planning, executing, and evaluating at-risk youth development programmes. The intern will work closely with mentors, volunteers, and at-risk youths to co-create engaging, impactful experiences that empower youth to grow, lead, and thrive.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in planning and coordinating youth mentoring sessions, workshops, and events.

  2. Support facilitators and mentors in session delivery, logistics, and youth engagement.

  3. Engage with youth participants during programmes to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

  4. Participate in team meetings to brainstorm ideas and improve programme outcomes.

  5. Support in documenting programme impact through photos, stories, or post-event reports.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To be exposed to programme planning and youth development strategies in a community setting.

  2. To be able to engage meaningfully with diverse youth and support their personal growth.

  3. To apply communication and facilitation skills in real-world programme settings.

  4. To participate in end-to-end execution of youth activities, from ideation to evaluation.

  5. To gain knowledge in working with at-risk or underserved youth populations.

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 10.00am - 7.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Thursday

Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)

Requirements (if any):

  1. Have interest in Community/Youth work.

  2. Basic Microsoft/Office 365/Canva skills
