Organisation Overview: Mentoring SG is a national movement that aims to build a culture of mentoring in Singapore and make mentoring more accessible for youth.
Mentoring SG seeks to support youth development and school-to work transitions through mentoring for youth to thrive, grow and realise their aspirations. Mentors could help youth broaden their perspectives in their definition of success; and provide guidance, support and practical advice to the youth as they navigate key transitions.
Brief Description: Do you have a heart for empowering youth and creating meaningful experiences? Mentoring SG is seeking a Youth Outreach Intern who’s eager to execute impactful, youth-focused events and build connections that inspire the next generation. This isn’t just an internship—it’s your chance to be part of a national movement empowering the next generation.
Roles and Responsibilities: 🌟 What You’ll Do:
Plan & Execute: Bring mentoring-focused events to life, from brainstorming creative ideas to managing logistics.
Collaborate & Connect: Work closely with schools, partners, mentors and mentoring organisations to ensure programs resonate with the youth.
Engage & Inspire: Create meaningful mentorship experiences by understanding and addressing the needs of young people.
Measure Impact: Collect data and impact of the YMHs on youth engagement, including feedback, learnings, and outcomes.
Refine Strategies: Develop innovative ideas to enhance mentoring engagement and deliver impactful results.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Real Experience: Hands-on involvement in organising mentoring initiatives and events from start to finish.
Event Management Skills: Learn how to design, plan, and execute events that truly empower and engage youth.
Networking Opportunities: Collaborate with schools, mentors, and partners to create meaningful connections.
Analytical Expertise: Get experience in tracking impact and using feedback to drive better results.
Purposeful Work: Be part of an initiative that makes a tangible difference in the lives of youth.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
