Organisation Overview: The Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu-Chi Foundation (Singapore) was incorporated in 1993 and was granted the Institution of Public Character (IPC) status the following year. Tzu Chi raises funds from the local community to address the welfare needs of the underprivileged through various charitable initiatives that respond to the evolving needs of society.

Brief Description: The intern will be working with HYC team to ideate and execute activities, programs and events to foster a culture of love for self, others, and the earth. This includes experiencing the end-to-end process of project management from planning, marketing, executing to impact measurement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Social media content ideation

  2. Event planning and execution

  3. Project-work: tailored to social gap/need subject to organisation's discretion

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. Obtain working experience in a social service organisation (SSO)

  2. Understand gaps in society that can be addressed by SSOs, aligned with the organisation’s values and objectives

  3. Successfully plan, lead and execute projects serving identified gaps in the community

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
