Organisation Overview: Established in 1976, SHINE Children and Youth Services is a registered charity with the National Council of Social Service. We support children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds through research-based Social Work and Educational Psychology programmes. Additionally, through the development, promotion, and research endeavours, we aim to equip professionals working with children and youth to become competent and confident practitioners who are committed to research-informed practices.
Brief Description: The YMH Intern will support our integrated wellness centre located in the heart of Singapore. The centre is a one-stop mental health support for youths in Singapore. The intern can expect to be exposed to be a part of the concierge team, managing walk-ins and queries, and also support the backbone team in executive functions
Roles and Responsibilities:
To support the team in running and managing the space
To support clients who may require mental health support (trainign provided)
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To learn how youth mental health in Singapore in supported
To develop people interaction skills, and to develop skills in client relations and space management
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 11.00am - 8.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (Work day will be schedule without exceeding 40hrs per week)
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
