Organisation Overview: Metropolitan YMCA of Singapore (MYMCA) was founded in 1946 with a vision to lead positive community transformation. The Association nurtures children and works with youths as part of its mission to effect and catalyse this change – today and for the future.
The Association also leverages on social enterprises to benefit communities, channelling all net surpluses from its accommodation and conference facilities into various outreach programmes to serve the needy and vulnerable.
Brief Description: This position will assist staff in planning and implementing youth development programmes and initiatives, advancing the organisations youth empowerment programmes. He/she will assist staff and gain exposure to stakeholders’ relations, including working professionals, schools and mentoring institutions.
Joining this team will enhance his/her self-awareness and self-management, and provide an understanding of the social service sector.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in programme management processes such as planning, design facilitation, execution and review of programmes depending on the programme cycle and period of internship.

Outreach and Engagement
Assist in administrative work and ensure accurate prompt updates of information related to volunteers, beneficiaries and partners
Stakeholders Relation
Assist in reporting feedback or concerns raised by beneficiaries, volunteers and participants to staff in charge for further action
Support staff in communication with stakeholders and follow up on participants’ development and progress
Safety
Assist staff to ensure programmes are conducted in a safe and secure environment and implemented according to relevant policies and procedures
Supports ACTS Division programmes and projects such as fundraising campaigns
Attend all related activities/meetings/conferences/trainings (internal and external) where appropriate
Undertake any tasks in relation to divisional outreach work as assigned from time to time

Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.30pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
Requirements (if any):
Possess passion in mentoring and youth development in the social service industry
Takes initiative and is process driven
Good critical thinking, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Experience in leadership, events management, and/or group facilitation
Possess research background (optional but good to have)
