Organisation Overview: The Astronauts Collective helps youths explore the world of work and discover meaningful careers, just like how astronauts explore and discover new worlds! Our programmes help youths to see the value of early and open career exploration, providing them with both the process to explore and the access to resources that many youths lack.
Brief Description: As an intern at The Astronauts Collective, you'll play a vital role in planning, coordinating, and evaluating career exploration and mentoring programmes. You responsibilities include preparing materials, managing logistics, and fostering clear communication with mentors and participants. You will have the unique opportunity to be a part of our staff team, contributing towards helping youths discover meaningful careers and have better well-being.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Programme Design: Support and learn about the creation of new programmes/ re-designing of existing programmes to meet emerging needs or new target audience profiles
Programme Operations: Support and learn about on-the-ground implementation and running of social impact programmes, for greater effectiveness and efficiency
Programme Evaluation: Support and learn about impact measurement and assessment of programmes; reporting of impact for fund-raising in the social sector
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To gain knowledge and experience in planning and executing of programme, including pre-programme manpower deployment, logistics planning, and post-programme evaluation and impact reporting
To be able to deliver programmes effectively to support other youths on their career exploration journey
To participate in organising TAC's annual national career exploration for youths (World X) by working with volunteer leaders and other members of the staff
To learn stakeholder and partnership management to deliver programmes
Duration of Internship: 5 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.30am - 6.30pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
