Organisation Overview: Founded in 1981, Care Corner is a non-profit organisation providing social and health care services to build hope and promote well-being for those in need. With 46 service points across Singapore, we serve children with special learning needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds, youth-at-risk, troubled families, vulnerable seniors and individuals with counselling and mental health needs.

Brief Description: Children & Family, Seniors, Youth

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Volunteer Recruitment, Deployment, and Development:

    1. Assist in recruiting volunteers for our signature programmes

    2. Ensuring smooth onboarding process of volunteers

  2. Programme Planning & Execution:

    1. Collaborate with the team to plan, organise, and execute programmes

    2. Evaluate programmes by gathering feedback from volunteers

  3. Volunteer Management System (VMS):

    1. Hands-on experience with the organization's VMS

    2. Support in tracking volunteer activities, recording hours, and managing communications

  4. Youth Volunteer Guidance - Provide ongoing support to youth volunteers

  5. Administrative Support

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. Acquire insights to the youth volunteer management landscape

  2. Develop project management and stakeholder management competencies

  3. Exposure to social service sector

  4. Grow in confidence of managing & engaging youths

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
