Organisation Overview: Care Community Services Society is called to serve the community and to influence and equip individuals and families for empowered living through all generations. CCSS serves more than 2,200 beneficiaries through various programmes such as mentoring for community children and youths, engagement activities for vulnerable seniors, resources for ex-offenders, cognitive care for older individuals with or at risk of dementia, and assistance to other persons in need.
Brief Description: The Volunteer Management Intern will assist in coordinating and implementing volunteer programs, recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers. This intern will gain hands-on experience in volunteer recruitment, management, and engagement while contributing to the organization's mission.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Recruitment: Assist in developing recruitment strategies to attract volunteers
Onboarding: Help train new volunteers, providing them with the necessary resources and information
Engagement: Support ongoing volunteer communication, including regular updates and appreciation initiatives
Data Management: Maintain volunteer records, including hours worked and contact information
Events Coordination: Assist in organizing and executing volunteer events and recognition programs
Feedback Collection: Help gather volunteer feedback to improve programs and experiences
General Support: Provide administrative support to the volunteer management team as needed
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to volunteer management landscape in CCSS and through the network of organisations under the SG Cares Volunteer Centre
Gain knowledge of the principles and practices of volunteer management, including the importance of community engagement and the role of volunteers in SSAs
Learn effective strategies for recruiting and retaining volunteers, including how to create compelling volunteer
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 8.30am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
