Organisation Overview: We’re a nonprofit startup! It’s like being on a new adventure everyday. You’ll get to wear many hats, tackle unexpected challenges, and see the direct impact of your work. In the age of AI, it’s increasingly important for fresh grads to be resourceful and resilient. This is the place to learn it first-hand. We’re a coaching organisation, so your personal growth matters to us (had a really good experience with the last YCCI batch). Oh, and our core work is to match students with success coaches.
Brief Description: If you dislike following SOPs, this is for you! Because you get to design and implement your own! We’re starting a pilot called Ride The Wave, to encourage youth to navigate the ups and downs of life. Learn first-hand how to create efficient and impactful processes that underpin the success of a programme and benefit its participants. As the saying goes, “Having a goal only tells you where to go; having a system enables you to achieve it.” This will make you an asset in any job in future!
Roles and Responsibilities:
Work with the Ride The Wave youth ambassadors to ensure that their events have S.M.A.R.T. goals.
Develop a process to track youth ambassadors, balancing thoroughness with ease-of-use.
Develop a process for after-action reviews (AARs) and conduct them. Then conduct an AAR on your AAR process.
Assist with engagements with partner organisations as well as with the Break The Wheel coaching programme management.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To pick up skills in problem framing (often overlooked - pls google “slow elevator problem” before applying) and solutioning.
To learn how to balance the tradeoffs between impact and feasibility (a.k.a. “don’t let perfect be the enemy of good”).
To be exposed to working nimbly in a nonprofit startup.
To gain experience in applying a growth mindset and resourcefulness to everyday tasks.
