Organisation Overview: SCOGA was founded by a group of enthusiastic gamers and leaders who wanted to make a difference in the local gaming scene, especially in promoting Cybersports, or more commonly known as Esports.
Today, its initiatives include esports, cyber wellness, adult learning and active ageing programmes. It has worked with various government bodies, industry players, media, schools, gamers, parents and other non-profit organisations to create positive change and impact in Singapore.
Brief Description: Support SCOGA's digital presence by creating engaging content, managing platforms, analysing metrics, and fostering community interaction. Assist in executing social media strategies to boost brand awareness, drive engagement, and cultivate online communities. Collaborate with team members to brainstorm creative ideas and stay up-to-date with industry trends to enhance the organisation's online presence.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Develop compelling and visually appealing content tailored to various social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), including graphics, videos, and written posts.
Platform Management: Maintain and update social media accounts, ensuring consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all channels.
Community Engagement: Interact with followers, respond to comments/messages, and foster a positive and engaging online community around the organisation's brand.
Analytics and Reporting: Monitor social media metrics and performance, providing regular reports and insights to inform content strategy and optimise engagement.
Campaign Support: Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns, promotions, and partnerships to increase reach and drive engagement.
Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about esports industry trends, social media best practices, and emerging platforms, offering suggestions for content innovation and audience engagement strategies.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, content, and esports teams to align social media efforts with broader organisational goals and initiatives.
Content Calendar Management: Maintain a content calendar to schedule posts, ensure timely delivery of content, and coordinate with team members to plan upcoming campaigns and events.
Research and Audience Analysis: Conduct research to identify target demographics, understand audience preferences, and adapt content strategies accordingly to maximise impact.
Creativity and Innovation: Bring fresh ideas and creative solutions to enhance the organisation's social media presence, keeping content relevant, engaging, and on-trend.

Content Creation Proficiency: Gain the ability to produce high-quality, engaging content for social media platforms, including graphics, videos, and written posts, to effectively communicate the organisation's brand message and engage with the target audience.
Social Media Management Skills: Develop competence in managing social media accounts, including content scheduling, community engagement, and platform optimisation, to maintain a consistent and compelling online presence for the esports organisation.
Data Analysis and Insights: Acquire proficiency in analysing social media metrics and performance data to derive actionable insights, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimise content strategy and enhance audience engagement.
Campaign Planning and Execution: Learn the process of planning and executing social media campaigns, promotions, and partnerships, including setting objectives, developing content calendars, and measuring campaign effectiveness, to support organisational goals and increase brand awareness.
Industry Awareness and Adaptability: Stay abreast of current trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the esports and social media landscape, and demonstrate the ability to adapt strategies and content approaches accordingly to remain competitive and relevant in the rapidly evolving digital environment.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 10.00am - 7.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Wednesday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
Requirements (if any): Must be prepared for occasional after-hours and weekend work due to events and workshops
