Social Media Content Producer Intern - Communications & Advocacy (Engineering Good Ltd)

Organisation Overview: Engineering Good Ltd is a Singapore-registered charity that brings together a community of staff and volunteers with diverse skills, including tech, engineering, and more, to serve the needs of disadvantaged communities in Singapore. Our vision is to engineer a better and more inclusive world.

Brief Description: Assist in Engineering Good's Communications initiatives and increase engagement with volunteers, corporate and community partners and beneficiaries.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Produce social media & website content with the objective of benefitting our beneficiaries (low-income families & persons with disabilities) and mission

2. Assist with social media monitoring and answering enquiries in a timely manner

3. Support communications team in marketing efforts, including basic design, photography, and videography

4. Monitor social media analytics and propose ideas to generate publicity for Engineering Good and encourage steps towards building an inclusive society

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

1. Empathise with disadvantaged communities in Singapore

2. Learn about inclusive design and content allyship

3. Increase practical knowledge of Communications and Advocacy, especially through the lens of non-profits

4. Learn about the issues on the ground pertaining to Digital Inclusion and Assistive Technology

5. Other ad-hoc duties

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 9.30am - 6.30pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)

Requirements (if any): Initiative, diligence, trustworthiness, willingness to learn, an ability to laugh at oneself, and an open mind. Knowledge of usage of design software and basic design chops preferable.
