TKH Singapore serves as the organisation’s hub for Southeast Asia, anchoring its regional partnerships and contributing to Singapore’s growing ecosystem of social impact and humanitarian innovation.
Brief Description: The Shared Services Intern will contribute to the capacity of the charities, nonprofits and ground-up initiatives we work with to implement and scale its activities. Your role comprises operational and administrative support, including but not limited to finance, research, event planning, volunteer management, marketing, and fundraising.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Process invoices, claims, payroll and prepare supporting documentation.
Carry out research as directed, such as on laws and regulations, to develop social enterprise models, for grants, etc.
Contribute to planning and executing events for communities and stakeholders.
Help clients recruit, engage, and manage volunteers.
Research and draft content for social media, presentations, and proposals.
Carry out market research and develop business models to support the expansion of TKH’s shared services in Singapore and the region.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To gain knowledge on the internal operations of different types of organisations in the social sector in Singapore and the region.
To be exposed to a range of social and environmental issues in Singapore and the region.
To apply a broad set of soft skills, including administrative, research, writing, and communication.
To learn how to be confident in the workplace, especially in working with external stakeholders.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
Requirements (if any):
Work well with others and have effective written and verbal communication skills
Proactive and willing to learn, with a positive attitude towards feedback and development
Possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented during documentation
