Brief Description: The Research Intern will be part of the team providing research, monitoring and evaluation services to charity and nonprofit clients in Singapore and the region. Your role includes background research, literature reviews, research design, data collection, data analysis, and report writing.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Carry out desk-based background research and literature reviews.
Assist with developing methodologies and data collection tools
Support primary data collection, including recruiting and communicating with respondents, tracking responses, transcribing interviews, and cleaning data.
Contribute to the analysing, visualisation, and interpretation of data collected.
Prepare research reports and presentations.
Develop materials and processes to train and support researchers.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To gain foundational knowledge in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
To be exposed to a range of social and environmental issues in Singapore and the region.
To apply a broad set of soft skills, including administrative, research, writing, and communication.
To learn how to be confident in the workplace.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)

Work well with others and have effective written and verbal communication skills
Proactive and willing to learn, with a positive attitude towards feedback and development
Possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented during research and documentation
