Organisation Overview: Happiness Initiative is a social enterprise that focuses on well-being research. Our primary focus is to make well-being skill accessible to everyone. We work with organisations and communities to take an research-based approach towards building a culture of well-being. Through our work, we hope to help people live a more fulfilling life and take a preventive approach towards mental health conditions.
Brief Description: We’re looking for a passionate, detail-oriented individual to join us as a Research and Programmes Intern. You’ll assist in delivering and evaluating workplace well-being programmes, gaining hands-on experience in programme coordination, facilitation, and data analysis. This role offers the opportunity to apply research in real-world settings, capture insights from programmes, and contribute to creating positive social impact.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordinate logistics for well-being workshops, including preparing materials, managing inventory, and supporting facilitation on-site
Assist in workshop administration such as tracking attendance, managing sign-ups, and ensuring smooth participant engagement
Collect, organise, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data for programme evaluation and reporting
Support the development and refinement of measurement tools and feedback forms
Conduct literature reviews to inform programme design and ensure alignment with evidence-based practices
Contribute to post-programme reporting and visual summaries that inform internal learning and stakeholder communications
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Understand the full cycle of programme execution—from planning to post-event evaluation
Apply basic data analysis techniques to real-world programme data using statistical tools
Gain exposure to research-backed frameworks in workplace well-being and Positive Psychology
Strengthen communication, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills
Develop a portfolio of contributions (e.g., data insights, workshop support, written summaries) that demonstrate their applied learning
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: Polytechnic diploma or University graduates (Current Polytechnic students or University undergraduates are welcome as well)
Requirements (if any):
Currently studying psychology, sociology, or a related field
Strong research and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Passion for promoting well-being and mental health
Comfortable with workshop facilitation support and engaging with participants
