Brief Description: Seeking an intern to support project coordination, financial tracking, community outreach, and research. Tasks include helping manage project timelines, reviewing budgets, organizing events, and researching social issues to guide programs. Ideal for someone organized, curious, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Manage project lifecycles, creating timelines, and coordinating resources effectively
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within scope
Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and support reporting and documentation efforts
Support Financial Oversight:
Review and analyse spending reports submitted by project applicants to ensure compliance with budgets and financial guidelines
Assist in preparing financial summaries and identifying areas of variance or concern
Develop an understanding of financial principles by reviewing and analysing budgets and expenditures
Basic auditing techniques and financial compliance processes
Community Outreach:
Organise, coordinate, and implement community events, workshops, and engagement activities
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution and build relationships with community partners
Conduct Research:
Perform research on relevant social issues to inform project decisions and strategies
Learn to conduct qualitative and quantitative research on social issues and compile insights that inform projects
Compile and present findings in a clear and actionable format to guide program development
Data Analysis Proficiency: Develop data analysis skills through tasks such as reviewing datasets, creating summaries, and utilising Excel for reporting.

Project Management Skills: Gain hands-on experience in managing project lifecycles, creating timelines, and coordinating resources effectively
Event Management Skills: Learn how to organise and execute successful events, including planning logistics, managing attendees, and evaluating outcomes
Basic Finance and Audit Skills:
Develop an understanding of financial principles by reviewing and analyzing budgets and expenditures
Gain exposure to basic auditing techniques and financial compliance processes
Knowledge of Social Issues: Broaden your understanding of current social challenges and how community-based projects address them
Research and Analytical Skills: Learn to conduct qualitative and quantitative research on social issues and compile insights that inform projects
Data Analysis Proficiency: Develop data analysis skills through tasks such as reviewing datasets, creating summaries, and utilising Excel for reporting
Community Organization Exposure: Work directly with various community organizations, gaining insights into their operations, challenges, and impact.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
