Brief Description: Programme Planning and Execution for Seniors
Roles and Responsibilities:
To develop programmes that target the five domains of active ageing – namely physical, cognitive, learning, social, and volunteerism. These programmes should be designed to holistically support seniors in maintaining their overall well-being, staying mentally engaged, physically active, socially connected, continuously learning, and contributing meaningfully to the community.
To reach out to seniors who will benefit from active ageing activities and befriending – this includes identifying socially isolated or vulnerable seniors, building trust through regular engagement, and encouraging participation in suitable programmes to improve their quality of life and sense of belonging.
To provide support for programme preparation and execution – this involves assisting in the planning, logistics, and setup of activities; sourcing for materials and refreshments; coordinating with volunteers and staff; and helping to ensure smooth implementation and a positive experience for the seniors.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To gain hands-on experience in designing and managing programmes that make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors.
To develop valuable event planning and programme coordination skills through application.
To obtain deeper insight into the senior care sector and contribute to meaningful community-building efforts that promote active and purposeful ageing.
