Programme Intern - Sustainability (Tasek Academy and Social Services Limited)

Organisation Overview: We uplift the disadvantaged and develop circles of mutual support in the community by helping individuals to develop themselves, from young and through second chances in life, and to strengthen belief in their own worth by contributing to others. We run carefully crafted programmes, - from early childhood to tertiary years - to helping ex inmates rebuild their lives. We are also the appointed agency for KidSTART in Taman Jurong and Boon Lay regions and SG Cares Volunteer Centre in Jurong Town.

Brief Description: We are seeking for an individual who is highly motivated and passionate about environmental sustainability to join our Team. He/she will assist in the administrative, logistical and operational tasks to support our various eco programs/activities for secondary schools and the community. The intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in program/event management, including social media and publicity.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. To assist the operations team in the development, planning and execution of programmes and activities

2. To perform the administrative, logistical and operational tasks to support the various programmes and activities

3. To design digital communication and marketing material for posting on social media platforms

4. To assist the team in the guiding and mentoring secondary school students on eco projects

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

1. To develop programme/event and budget management skill sets

2. To be able to communicate effectively with external parties, stakeholders and students on project works

3. To gain awareness and knowledge on environmental sustainability

4. To participate in brainstorming session in the development of programmes/activities

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
