Organisation Overview: Yong-en Care Centre is a social service agency serving the community through our Core Services: Family Support Services, Dementia Day Care, Home Care Service, and Active Ageing.

Brief Description: Is curating exciting and energizing programmes for seniors is what you had always wanted to do and learn! This internship will allow you to explore your hidden talents in the development and coordination of activities at Yong-en Active Hub YEAH! You will also get to work with different stakeholders to promote and support active ageing in the community.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and assist with executing of purposeful and interactive activities for the seniors

  2. Develop and support volunteer management to support seniors

  3. Develop and assist with promotional planning and activities for the recruitment of new seniors dwelling in the community

  4. Develop and implement methods to improve overall health of seniors.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. You will learn effective ways to communicate and work with seniors.

  2. You will learn creative, innovative and purposeful methods to create meaningful programmes and activities for seniors.

  3. You will learn effective methods to promote programmes to the community.

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
