Organisation Overview: Founded in 2016, Empower Ageing is a registered charity and Institution of Public Character (IPC) in Singapore, dedicated to making ageing well possible for every senior. We collaborates with volunteers, partners, and the community to create a supportive environment where seniors can thrive. Through direct services, educational initiatives, and advocacy efforts, the organization strives to reshape the perception of ageing and promote a society that values and acknowledges seniors' contributions.
Brief Description: Designs and coordinates client-focused programmes, ensuring smooth execution and quality control. Identifies areas for improvement, ensures compliance, and develops volunteer materials. Plans manpower rosters and guides volunteers. Collaborates with partner organisations, manages stakeholder feedback, and conducts outreach to enhance programme reach and community engagement.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and facilitate operational processes for the deployment of volunteer manpower for Empower Ageing’s Arm
Communicate operational changes and needs in an orderly process to the relevant organisational stakeholders, especially in light of volunteer constraints;
Identify avenues for program optimization through regular review with operational stakeholders
Develop and deliver a training program for caregivers for frail seniors in the community
Organize a community event for EA Communityrogram optimization through regular review with operational stakeholders
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Learn to develop, coordinate, and execute operational workflows that ensure timely and efficient deployment of volunteer manpower for Empower Ageing’s initiatives.
Identify, assess, and recommend process improvements by conducting regular operational reviews with key stakeholders to enhance program delivery
Acquire skills to create and implement training programmes tailored for seniors, ensuring content relevance, engagement, and measurable learning outcomes
Learn to conceptualize, organize, and manage community events that align with Empower Ageing’s objectives, including volunteer coordination, logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
Duration of Internship: 5 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
Requirements (if any): Willingness to travel around Singapore
