Organisation Overview: Estabilished in 2016, Digital Dream is a social enterprise that provides creative digital solutions for schools, institutions, elderly homes, youth groups, commercial spaces and offices. Our team comprises of professional designers, programmers and developers with a passion for creating custom content for digital solutions and putting them into the hands of the masses.
Brief Description: This position assists the creative team with developing products to bridge the gap between user needs and innovative design, creating products that are functional, intuitive, and aligned with business goals, from initial concept to post-launch evaluation. Products will include both software and hardware components. The intern will be tasked to create visual mockups, wireframes, and prototypes to bring their ideas to life.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist Creative Lead in designing innovative products for learning content for Special Needs, Elderly activities, Youth programmes
Ideate and create digital models for prototyping and fabrication
Translate ideas and content into engaging, visually appealing and functional exhibit spaces for events like roadshows, galleries, trade shows or festivals
To work closely with the project manager, technical team and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful product development
To conduct user testing and gather feedback to identify areas for improvement
Provide support in identifying and solve design problems, ensuring the final product is both effective and human-centric
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to opportunities to design products and experiences for special needs, children, youths and the elderly
To conduct user research and translate findings into actionable insights
To combine strong visual design skills with technical knowledge in order to create user-friendly products
To apply analytical skills in a cooperative setting to measure the effectiveness of designs
To be able to identify and solve real-life problems creatively and effectively through design thinking
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
