Brief Description: The Outreach and Events Internship involves planning and executing outreach events to raise awareness of =DREAMS as a boarding campus. The intern will also assist in reviewing publicity materials and managing the overall social media presence of =DREAMS, helping to enhance the organization's visibility and engagement with the community.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Discuss and plan for outreach events and activities targeted at admissions
Conduct varying activities to increase community awareness (e.g. campus events, door-to-door or community roadshows)
Generate content and provide day to day management of =DREAMS social media (i.e., Instagram/TikTok)
Provide administrative support for scholar admissions
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to the social landscape surrounding low-income families and the challenges they face.
To be able to understand the workings of =DREAMS as a boarding campus and its role in enabling social mobility through holistic support.
To apply communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills in engaging with stakeholders.
To participate in planning and executing outreach events and activities to raise awareness of =DREAMS.
To learn how to manage and enhance the social media presence of an organization.
To gain knowledge in evaluating and improving publicity materials to effectively communicate the mission of =DREAMS.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
