Organisation Overview: Unlocking ADHD’s mission is to empower ADHDers and their families to live life to the fullest. Launched in late 2021, Unlocking ADHD (UA) aims to give hope to the ADHD community and bridge the information gap about ADHD in Singapore. Through our outreach events and community resources in collaboration with mental health professionals, UA equips the ADHD community with the necessary knowledge to fulfill their potential despite the challenges that ADHD may bring.

Brief Description: Words matter—especially when they help people feel seen, heard, and understood. As our Mass Communications Intern, you’ll help us shape public narratives around ADHD through clear, compelling writing. Whether it’s crafting press releases, scripting videos, coordinating media outreach, or supporting campaigns, you’ll be helping us tell stories that matter—loud and clear.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Draft press releases, email campaigns, official statements, and newsletter copy

  2. Assist with writing and editing content for social media, reports, and web articles

  3. Support media relations and outreach to press contacts

  4. Help script, storyboard and produce short video or podcast segments

  5. Work closely with the comms team to maintain a consistent tone and message

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To be exposed to strategic communication practices in advocacy settings

  2. To be able to draft clear, engaging content for various platforms and audiences

  3. To apply writing and editing skills across press releases, newsletters, and social media

  4. To participate in media outreach and content production efforts

  5. To learn how to script, storyboard, and support multimedia storytelling

  6. To gain knowledge in maintaining brand voice and message consistency across channels

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification: Polytechnic diploma (Current Polytechnic students are welcome as well)
