Organisation Overview: Singapore National Stroke Association (SNSA) is a non-profit supporting stroke survivors and caregivers through advocacy, peer support, and inclusive programmes. Since 1996, we have empowered individuals in their recovery journeys and reintegration into the community. Through stroke awareness, education, support groups, and outreach, SNSA fosters connection, resilience, and a more informed, compassionate society around stroke recovery and care.
Brief Description: Seniors, Others: Stroke Survivors
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and implementing outreach and fundraising events from start to finish
Coordinate internal communications and logistics across departments to support event delivery
Support volunteer and participant recruitment for events and outreach activities
Engage members and the public during events, helping to create a meaningful and inclusive experience
Gather feedback and contribute to post-event evaluations for programme improvement
Liaise with external vendors, partners, and venue providers for smooth event operations
Coordinate with speakers, manage event-related logistics such as food orders and materials, and ensure all arrangements are in place
Support inventory management and the upkeep of supplies essential for daily operations and events
Help maintain records and ensure documentation of outreach and fundraising initiatives is up to date
Assist in coordinating facility operations such as cleaning services and maintenance scheduling to support a welcoming environment for beneficiaries
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To gain practical knowledge in coordinating and executing events and campaigns in a nonprofit organisation
To develop skills in stakeholder and volunteer engagement, event planning, and process management
To understand the operational functions behind impactful community events
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
Requirements (if any):
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team
Flexibility and problem-solving mindset in dynamic settings
Empathy and respect when engaging with diverse communities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create graphs, charts, and generate reports for presentation and analysis
Bonus: Familiarity with event planning tools or platforms (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp)
