Brief Description: As sustainability as a concept gains traction in Singapore, many people are beginning to pay attention to the subject. However, most educational messages appear to be geared solely towards raising awareness which is lacks the crucial call-to-actions to enable behavioural change. We believe that understanding our target audience and putting out meaningful messages with strong call-to-actions would allow us to achieve our aim of a low carbon zero waste outcome more effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities:As a Marketing and Communications intern, your primary role will include but not limited to:
Assisting in brainstorming, creating and executing digital marketing and content creation, particularly for our website;
Creation of thought pieces, articles, reviews as well as any other literature that facilitates the learning of environmental sustainability to a broad audience, with key focus on youths and young working adults living and working in Singapore; and
Managing company's social media profiles and presence.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:You will gain knowledge in the sustainability space in Singapore, including the social enterprise space. In addition, you will be exposed to a wide range of tasks including:
Preparing for and attend meetings with stakeholders in the public, private and people sectors;
Help out in the implementation and execution of ongoing events, including but not limited to cleanups, workshops, learning journeys and events, with varying roles such as taking charge of logistics, equipment or timelines; and
Learn how to conduct public speaking through sharing and facilitation of learning journeys or workshops to a wide range of audience from pre-schoolers to corporates
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours:
10.00am - 6.00pm (Mon - Fri)
10.00am - 1.00pm (occasional Sat when needed)
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
