Graphic Design Intern (Happiness Initiative Pte Ltd)

Organisation Overview: Happiness Initiative is a social enterprise that focuses on well-being research. Our primary focus is to make well-being skill accessible to everyone. We work with organisations and communities to take an research-based approach towards building a culture of well-being. Through our work, we hope to help people live a more fulfilling life and take a preventive approach towards mental health conditions.

Brief Description: Others: Mental Well-being

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Design marketing assets such as social media visuals, email banners, and posters in line with our brand identity

2. Support the visual development of our well-being products (e.g. games, journals, cards), including layout design, illustrations, and packaging

3. Prepare print-ready files and assist with liaising with vendors and printers

4. Contribute creative input to campaign aesthetics and product branding

5. Maintain and update brand and design asset libraries

6. Assist in creating mock-ups and prototypes for product testing and internal reviews

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

1. Understand the full process of designing and developing products from concept to production

2. Apply visual design principles to real-world marketing and product contexts

3. Develop a portfolio showcasing both marketing design and product design work

4. Work within brand guidelines while contributing creative ideas for visual storytelling

5. Collaborate across teams to create cohesive and impactful user experiences

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification:

Polytechnic diploma or University graduates (Current Polytechnic students or University undergraduates are welcome as well)

Requirements (if any):

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field

2. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop). Experience with Canva or Figma is a bonus

3. Detail-oriented with a good eye for aesthetics and user-centred design

4. Enthusiastic about using design to create meaningful social impact

5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
