Organisation Overview: Estabilished in 2016, Digital Dream is a social enterprise that provides creative digital solutions for schools, institutions, elderly homes, youth groups, commercial spaces and offices. Our team comprises of professional designers, programmers and developers with a passion for creating custom content for digital solutions and putting them into the hands of the masses.
Brief Description: This position assists the creative team with developing games for the Immersive Interactive Cave including certain aspects or the full game design including graphic design, audio sound track, video inputs, electrical, electronics, engineering, scripting, programming for special needs, education, elderly care activities, youth programmes, and specific events. The intern will identify and articulate objectives, design story board and process flow, present ideas, script and test the outcome.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist Creative Lead in designing games for learning contents for Special Needs, Elderly activities, Youth programmes, such as escape room
Present story board, and outcomes to be achieved from the contents so as to get buy in and approval
Design games to create experiences for all ages in the Immersive Interactive Mixed Reality space
Test the contents developed
Provide support in scripting in Unity, Unreal Engine, 3DSMAX or other programming and gaming languages
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to opportunities to create games for Immersive Interactive Mixed Reality activities for special needs, children, youths and the elderly
To apply knowledge and skills in programing, scripting to create games in a non-traditional and totally new Immersive Interactive Mixed Reality space
To apply and expand on gaming skills in collaboration with colleagues
To apply and expand on knowledge in Unity, Unreal Engine, 3DSMAX, Story scripting and UI UX
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
