Brief Description: Youth
Roles and Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement, Mapping and Reporting:
Support the team in the implementation of stakeholder engagement plans in order to identify, prioritize, and manage relationships with *SCAPE and Somerset Belt key stakeholders, such as regular communication, meetings, and networking opportunities, through working with internal and external stakeholders
Track and maintain metrics and reporting mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of stakeholder and community engagement efforts in order to prepare regular updates to management
Engagement Volunteer:
Reach out to Youth Groups outside of *SCAPE's ecosystem
Deepen partnership with COIs
Collaborate with youth groups/COIs to implement projects at *SCAPE
Boost number of youth volunteers
Work with IHLs to deepen partnership in terms of volunteering and co-created projects
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management – Develop skills in identifying, prioritising, and managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and communication
Communication & Reporting – Gain experience in tracking engagement metrics, preparing regular updates, and presenting stakeholder engagement reports to management
Partnership Development – Learn to strengthen partnerships with youth groups and COIs, and deepen collaboration with IHLs for volunteer and project initiatives
Volunteer Management – Develop strategies to recruit, engage, and retain youth volunteers, enhancing community involvement and support for *SCAPE initiatives
Networking & Event Coordination – Build skills in organising and facilitating networking opportunities and meetings with stakeholders to drive engagement
Community Engagement Strategy – Learn to design and execute effective strategies to boost engagement within the community, particularly focusing on youth involvement
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
