Organisation Overview: Established in 1976, SHINE Children and Youth Services is a registered charity with the National Council of Social Service. We support children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds through research-based Social Work and Educational Psychology programmes. Additionally, through the development, promotion, and research endeavours, we aim to equip professionals working with children and youth to become competent and confident practitioners who are committed to research-informed practices.

Brief Description: Youth, Children & Family

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting Organisational Development efforts, including curating, reviewing, and developing Learning and Development content

  2. Supporting SHINE's communication strategy through developing and executing communications-related collateral and tasks

  3. Support SHINE's Volunteer Partnerships and Development function by shaping and driving effective and efficient practices, such as working with partners, external agencies, volunteer groups, and corporates; and supporting existing volunteering efforts in SHINE

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To be exposed to the various corporate and developmental functions in an organisation

  2. To understand how non-direct practice impacts direct work in a charity organisation

  3. To learn how to apply OD, communications, and management skills in various functions in an organisation

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
