Organisation Overview: Bethesda CARE Centre (BCARE) was established in 1996 as a social service agency dedicated to serving the community. Our vision is to foster communities of care through bridging gaps and building lives in our neighbourhood. We reach out to children, youths, families, seniors and persons with mental health conditions. Our efforts are dedicated to aiding the poor, marginalised and vulnerable individuals. We also aim to enhance the lives of individuals through engaging and meaningful activities.

Brief Description: Children & Family, Seniors, Youth, Others: Mental Health

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Designing and developing of publicity materials

  2. Designing and developing of training materials

  3. Postings for BCARE’s social media platforms

  4. Implementing outreach events

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To be involved in the process of developing publicity materials

  2. To be involved in designing training materials

  3. To learn about the various communication platforms for engagement

  4. To have the platform to engage various Programme ICs in understanding the running of the various programmes in the organisation

  5. To gain greater awareness of the social service environment in Singapore

  6. To have a better understanding on the overall running of a Social Service Agency

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification: Polytechnic diploma or University graduates (Current Polytechnic students or University undergraduates are welcome as well)

Requirements (if any):

  1. Proficient in written and verbal communication

  2. Competent in Canva

  3. Experience with video editing software is a plus
