Organisation Overview: Yong-en Care Centre is a social service agency serving the community through our Core Services: Family Support Services, Dementia Day Care, Home Care Service, and Active Ageing.

Brief Description:

  1. Enhance branding efforts, increase awareness and communicate Yong-en‘s mission via social media platforms, website and publications.

  2. Capture the impact of the work we do through video, interviews, sound bites and newsletters.

  3. Recruit, manage and develop volunteers and partnerships.

  4. Ideate and execute fundraising and volunteer recruitment campaigns to augment Yong-en’s funding and manpower needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Communications

    1. Plan and assist with executing of purposeful and interactive activities

    2. Generate content, design work and implementation on social media platforms

    3. Support the day-to-day functions of the Community Relations Team.

  2. Outreach to Community

    1. Assist in key message development and corporate storytelling across social media and publications.

    2. Design volunteer opportunities to attract and train organizational/corporate/individual volunteers.

    3. Attend to public enquiries.

    4. Compile and gather feedback from clients and volunteers.

  3. Administrative Functions

    1. Assist to maintain and update administrative system.

  4. Others

    1. Undertake any other responsibilities and duties assigned within the scope of internship.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. Branding and awareness of Yong-en Care Centre

  2. Interfacing between public and private sector

  3. Developing corporate communication strategies

  4. Coordinating fundraising campaigns and volunteer activities.

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification: Polytechnic diploma or professional qualifications
