Organisation Overview: Friendzone is a social enterprise that dreams of the day when everyone experiences their neighbourhood communities as a friend-zone -- where it’s natural to approach another young neighbour to chat, hangout, or ask for help.
Friendzone is dedicated to activating and creating young adult communities through meaningful conversations. We design events, workshops & campaigns to facilitate the exchange of perspectives between neighbours.
Brief Description: Are you someone who believes that neighbourhoods are places where youths can be friends? Do you enjoy designing and facilitating programmes? Do you care about meaningful conversations? We are looking for someone to design and facilitate ways to create communities amongst young adults in neighbourhoods and job sectors.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Programme Design, Facilitation & Administration
Support the design, facilitation, and administration (e.g. contacting participants, registration) of Friendzone’s community gatherings and workshops
Community Facilitator Management
Manage Friendzone's Community Faciliators
Design training & systems to support the development of Community Facilitators
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To be exposed to the end-to-end process of programme and event design, including planning, facilitation, and administration for community-building activities.
To be able to communicate effectively with participants and facilitators to ensure smooth coordination and positive engagement before, during, and after events.
To apply principles of community engagement and facilitation when designing conversation-based gatherings and workshops.
To participate in the management and development of a team of Community Facilitators, including designing training materials and support systems.
To gain knowledge in community facilitation techniques, programme design methodologies, and strategies for volunteer management and support.
Duration of Internship: 5 months
Daily Working Hours: 10.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
