Community Partnerships and Communications Intern (K9Assistance (Limited))

Organisation Overview: K9ASSISTANCE is the first and only charity organisation in Singapore promoting the partnership and acceptance of various Assistance Dogs for Persons with different Disabilities. These Assistance Dogs include:

1. Mobility Assistance Dogs for People with Physical Disabilities

2. Hearing Dogs for the Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing

3. Seeing-Eye Dogs for the Blind or vision-impaired

4. Autism Assistance Dogs for Autistic individuals. The charity is an Institution of a Public Character from March 2025.

Brief Description: This position is responsible for supporting the work of the communications and Community Partnership personnel to create and develop collateral, targeting different stakeholders to be used for various communication channels. He or she will also assist in providing event and administrative support.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Support K9Assistance to plan the social media calendar and assist with content creation

2. Create engaging, creative, and innovative content for regularly scheduled posts

3. Produce visual content (pictures, videos, stories, ads, etc.) and create key messages that appeal to each stakeholder group

4. Assist in analysing social media campaigns to gather data and determine efficacy and areas for social media improvements

5. Provide direct support in corporate and marketing collateral creation, production, and deployment

6. Provide event and administrative support as and when needed

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

1. To be exposed to social media strategy and management

2. To be able to create, write, and develop content for social media channels and newsletters

3. To participate in and support communications projects and outreach events

4. To learn and apply communications skills

5. To gain knowledge about disabilities and assistance dogs

6. Exposed to working with Persons with Disabilities as colleagues

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)

Requirements (if any):

1. Good command of English, especially written communication

2. A creative thinker

3. Proficiency in using social media platforms and digital communication

4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media apps, etc.), design, and graphic designer programmes (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Procreate, CapCut, etc.) is preferred
