Organisation Overview: Founded in 2020, KampungKakis is a registered charity that combats senior isolation one programme and one connection at a time. At the core of KampungKakis is a neighbourhood buddy system that matches seniors to their neighbours based on proximity, spoken languages and assistance types.
Brief Description: This role involves programme/event planning; engaging and managing stakeholders - such as beneficiaries, volunteers, and supporters; and creating content to expand our reach and impact. Occasional weekday evening and weekend work is required. Time-off will be provided. Please note that you will need to have your own laptop to work on.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Programme & Event Planning: Assist in developing and coordinating programmes/events for key stakeholders, including ideation, resource coordination , and operations. Support community and outreach events, such as with onsite set-up, operations, and troubleshooting.
Volunteer Management: Help recruit, train, and manage volunteers for various programmes.
Beneficiary Engagement: Interact with beneficiaries to understand their needs and gather feedback in order for the organisation to better support them.
Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of the organisation's various programmes and work, such as taking attendance and feedback, and recording and analysing programme impact metrics.
Content Creation: Develop engaging content for social media, newsletters, and campaigns. Design basic visuals using Canva, schedule posts, and monitor and analyse performance across platforms.
Assist in other matters where required.

To gain hands-on experience in planning, coordinating, and implementing community programmes that impact beneficiaries.
To learn effective communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including beneficiaries, volunteers, and supporters.
To apply problem-solving skills in programme planning, operations, and execution.
To learn to evaluate programme outcomes by collecting and analysing feedback for continuous improvement.
To gain an understanding in maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, fostering trust and engagement.
To acquire knowledge in community development, volunteer management, and programme impact measurement in the non-profit sector.
To be exposed to planning and executing marketing strategies in non-profits, including creating compelling content aligned with organisational goals and using digital marketing tools.
To learn to analyse campaign and programme/event performance metrics to generate insights for future improvements.
To recognise the importance of and practise good governance through proper reporting and documentation.
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
