Organisation Overview: We give youths a fighting chance. With Impart, youths-facing-adversity receive accessible and effective developmental opportunities, with support spanning Education, Mental Health Care, and Community-based group therapy.
Brief Description: The Case Work Intern will support Case Workers and Head of Department at Impart’s Mental Health Care arm in providing assessments and interventions to children and youths in the community. The intern will be involved in end-to-end youth management, including case planning and management, stakeholder collaboration, and documentation. The intern will receive the necessary training and clinical supervision required to perform the expected duties.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Shadow case workers and/ or head of department in sessions
Interview youths to assess their situational needs
Assist in determining which services are necessary and developing a case plan
Support in outreach programmes
Document and maintain case files
Deliver interventions (within training) to increase safety and stability of youths
Connect youth to a community of care by involving other relevant helping professionals
Develop relevant resource banks
Plan regular follow-ups to continually assess progress and additional needs
Attend training and supervision sessions
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
The intern will gain professional and practical experience in providing case management services to youth and families in the community
The intern will get to network and gain experience in collaborating with other helping professionals in the industry
The intern will gain a better understanding of the youth landscape and social gaps in Singapore
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: University degree or above (Undergraduates are welcome)
Requirements (if any): Psychology undergraduates
