Brief Description: This position is responsible in supporting the design & conduct of behavioural research & benchmarking study for mental wellness, personal & organisation development in various systems. Intern will contribute to ground work in the continued development and testing of using the concept of play in our experiences, and testing of LSP and applied drama as viable qualitative research methods, determine impact of play-based workshops on well-being & translate user research into interventions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support in designing and conducting behavioural research in various systems including schools and workplaces (via interviews and Focus Group Discussions, and LEGO SERIOUS PLAY and Applied Drama workshops)
Support continued development and testing of using concept of play in our experiences
Support development and testing of LEGO Serious Play and applied drama as qualitative research methods
Initiate outreach to and conversations with potential overseas partners and clients
Assist in stakeholder interviews (including government agencies, corporates, social enterprises and charity organisations) in both Singapore and overseas
Support landscape and benchmarking study of programmes, initiatives and products (in both Singapore and overseas) related to personal development, organisational development, team building, enhancement of team effectiveness, mental health and well-being mental health & well-being and conversational tools
Translate research, landscape and benchmarking studies into various formats for thought leadership and marketing purposes
Translate user research into new programmes and channels (usage of behavioural science principles to come up with intervention programmes and better communications)
Support impact assessment of current programmes and channels, and LEGO Serious Play based workshops and sessions on subjective well-being, personal and organisation development
Learning Objectives and Outcomes:
To experience real-life end-to-end behavioural research projects
To appreciate and get first-hand insights into mental wellness in various systems (including schools, and workplaces)
To gain knowledge on research methods beyond conventional offerings
To develop an appreciation and practical understanding of the concept of play
To develop an appreciation and practical understanding of the LEGO Serious Play methodology and other experiential methodologies
To gain and apply knowledge on psychology and behavioural science
To experience the intersection of people, private and public sector
To be able to contribute ideas and perspectives towards youth mental well-being and workplace mental health through involvement at different levels, including facilitating and direct participation in the workshops
To appreciate diverse perspectives and stories by connecting with, hearing from and discussing with peers and stakeholders on their experiences with youth mental well-being and workplace mental health
Duration of Internship: 5 months
Daily Working Hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
