Assistant Student Care Officer Intern (Self Help Groups Student Care Limited)

Organisation Overview: We are a non-profit organisation founded on the premise of providing affordable, quality after-school care for students. We conduct fun programmes and activities designed to provide a well-rounded educational environment with a strong emphasis on cultivating good character development in addition to their academic achievement, physical health, and social and psychological well-being.

Brief Description: To provide quality pastoral care and conduct values-driven activities and programmes for primary school students.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure a safe and conducive physical environment for students

2. Provide quality pastoral care to all students enrolled in the student care centre

3. Ensure smooth running of SCC programmes and activities by:

4. Preparing in advance for programmes and activities as per set curriculum provided by HQ

5. Curating age-appropriate activities to support the students’ overall holistic growth

6. Effectively engaging students through the activities

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

1. To be exposed to Company's SOP and Policies for Student Care Centres

2. To learn to account for safety of students enrolled (such as marking of attendance, monitoring whereabouts for enrolled students)

3. To learn how to effectively manage students to maintain order and discipline

4. To be able to respond promptly and appropriately to signs of illness and accidents

5. To be able to respond promptly to incidents and emergencies and crisis

6. To be able to execute programmes and activities as per set curriculum

Duration of Internship: 6 months

Daily Working Hours: 11.00am - 7.00pm

Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Minimum Qualification: No minimum education (i.e. A-level Graduates, Current Polytechnic students are welcome)
